Legal warranty

(valid for Germany)

For all goods purchased from us, there are additional rights under the statutory warranty in the European Union and the consumer protection laws of the EU in addition to the claims under manufacturer's warranties.

Claims shall only exist for defects that were already present at the time of transfer of the goods. The burden of proof that a defect (including hidden defects) already existed when the goods were accepted shall pass to the customer 6 months after the transfer of the goods.

During the entitlement period (see above), consumers are entitled, among other things, to free repair or replacement if a product does not comply with the contract. Consumers can only assert claims under the Consumer Protection Act against the retailer from whom a product was purchased.

Country-specific questions can be answered by the local European Consumer Center.

Note on Apple products:

Apple grants a 1-year manufacturer's warranty on products. This can optionally be extended by the AppleCare Protection Plan, which is available for an additional charge(3 years from the date of purchase for Mac or Apple Display / 2 years from the date of purchase for Apple TV, iPad, iPhone or iPod). Further information can be found here.
